Fruit juice is not healthy as well

This bit of information is from UK – An advisor to the government on obesity has said that the “Fruit Juice” should be removed from the recommended list of five-a-day portions of fruit or vegetables in the UK as it contains as much sugar as many soft drinks.

The fruit juice requires lots of sugar to taste good; you should see how it is made.

Susan Jebb, head of diet and obesity research at the Medical Research Council’s Human Nutrition Research unit in Cambridge said that she did not see juice as a healthy portion. “Fruit juice isn’t the same as intact fruit, and has got a much sugar as many classical sugar drinks. It is also absorbed very fast, so by the time it gets to your stomach your body doesn’t know whether it’s Coca-cola or orange juice. Frankly!

So forget of Coke, Pepsi, even the fruit juices does more harm than good. Go for fruit instead.
